Hello all i have a 1998 toyota 4runner 2.7L
A check engine light came on P0120 throttle position sensor. I replaced the sensor with oem and check engine light came back. I cleaned the mass airflow and throttle body and that did not fix the problem. I tested the circuit. Found good power and good ground. Found the signal for sensor operating normal. Performed ohms test on the 5v reference circuit from throttle position sensor wire to ecm found 2.2 ohms, that circuit had to much resistance. Ran a new wire and retested found .7 ohms. Started the vehicle and check engine light came on now with a different code P0450 evaporative emission control system pressure. Found the vapor pressure sensor. Shared the same power and sane ground from ecm. Those thats mean i have to run a wire for the vapor pressure sensor ? I tested the vapor pressure sensor and found no power, since i ran a wire from the ecm to throttle position sensor. Need help figuring it out. Thanks any helps
