Need Lights for my Roof Rack

So I just installed a Whitson Metalworks roof rack. It's awesome! However, the four light tabs are only 3.25 inches tall and there are two light tabs in each of the two 13 inch wide spaces.

This causes a bit of a challenge when light shopping. I obviously want to use all four light tabs so I'll need four lights. I found these on Amazon last night but I have not had much luck finding out more info.

There are two bad reviews so that's not inspiring. I'm really looking for ideas.

I've also been thinking of LED light bars but they are money. They do come in ten inch widths though which would be perfect for the spaces I have to fill.

I want something bright and I'm not scared to spend some money but I don't need $1000 worth of lights either. I've not had much luck so maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.

are these lights gonna be purely for off road use ? or do you want to use them on long night drives on the road cause hid's take awhile to warm up

If you think <10 seconds is awhile, then yes they take awhile to warm up.

Off Road use and dark lonely roads. I'd like a spot or driving lights since floods will only glare all over my hood. I might put floods on the back or sides later though.

These were a top choice till I got the rack and saw the height of the top bar. I need to make some cardboard cut outs and see how they will fit. I've got 3.25 inch from the mount to the bottom of the top bar. So height is my main problem.

O YA i totally forgot about these i got a set with a 35w hid and they work pretty darn good there the ff75 Driving
Hella FF50 & FF75

not sure how well it will handle a 50-55w hid kit though

these are a PIAA 90pro, they are no longer made and hard to find parts for, when they where new they would retail for about $800 a set, i have seen them on ebay every now and again but they still sell for about $4-500... they are a killer light as they have the projector as well as a regular light in the same housing. however, a projector light mounted that high would not be a good idea, more kind of a waste of a great light. projector lights are ment to be mounted down low(headlight height or lower), that way they can shine far, but the top of the beam is cut off so it does not blind other drivers. PIAA also made a light called 70, its in the same housing but its is only one light(does not have the projector), they came with 130w bulbs and they are also an amazing light, i have 4 pairs(8 lights) of them, and would fit really nice as they are about 9.5" wide by about 3" tall, but good luck finding a set. PIAA stopped making those lights about 10 years ago

matt, check these out. these are what i'm wanting to put in mine. first off, YES, they are imported stuff but this guy had a huge thread on ih8mud (i think) where he included all kinds of tests to prove they are actually something good out of china. the prices cant be beat either. Yes the piaa 90 pro xt lights are awesome! Not many people know what's up with these lights. You are lucky to have so many due to them being so rare/scarce. I actually had 2 pairs of them but just sold one pair the other day.

i dont have any PIAA 90s(yet) i have the 70s, they are in the same housing, but they just dont have the projector, they are just a big 130w rectangle halogen light. but one of mine sets have the ION lenses and they are awesome!, they will be going on my runner as soon as i get the ARB front bumper(mounting them on top of the bumper hoops)

Ok ... I'll assume you haven't done a HID projector conversion yet. IF it were me, I would spend the $300 to do a conversion before considering wasting a dime on aux lights. After I did my conversion, I was incredibly unimpressed with how much extra light a 30" Rigid bar added. I go night wheeling exclusively, and since installing my projectors have completely decided to forego adding more lights.

That site is your friend. Also, keep in mind you will use a conversion every time you drive so you'll definitely get your money's worth vs. aux lights which you only use when you are wheeling at night.

If you must get aux lighting, TQS makes a Rigid LED clone that has the exact same specs. They are $400 for a 30" bar, less then 1/2 the price.
