Need more power

So I got a 2007 sr5 4.0 and I'm finding it quite slow when loaded down. So far I've done a K&N air intake, Doug Thorley long tube headers, and a cat back borla exhaust system. Any suggestions other than supercharger and engine swap to get more HP? I was considering throttle body or cams but not sure which way to go. Thanks! I'll post more

You have a loaded down V6. Not sure any more "performance mods" will make an actual difference. Its still fast enough to get you from point A to point B without downshifting or tanking you mileage, but I understand if you have money burning a hole in your pocket. Trade for a V8?

The Lexus IS my wife's. And I've got 6k sunk already in my truck so trading it in at this point isn't an option. I know there are more engine mods but since I'm not a mechanic I just can't put my finger on it.

I agree with above, sounds like a v8 is in your future. What gears are you currently running?

Strip all the mods and sell it stock. Buy an 05+v8 4runner or a gx470, put mods back on.

First, take the k&n off and throw it in the garbage. Then either put the stock Cai back on or an afe pro dry. Then clean you maf sensor. After that if you want more out of it talk to gadget over at urd. The v6 has plenty. I'd put mine up against the v8 all day, and I've got 250lbs of armor on mine.

I've got a lift, skids, sliders, bigger tires, and I find the 4.0 is fast enough when I need it to be. I might change my mind when I step up to 33s and front and rear bumpers, but come on. It's a truck, not a race car.

My girlfriend has an 06' with a v6. It has a level kit and stock sized general at2's. We put dirt bike gear, guns and ammo and pull a heavy trailer with two dirt bikes and tools on it. It pulls better than my v8 with a 3/2 lift, 265/70 at2's and a roof rack while getting better mileage.

I think the only performance mod that would really change anything is lower diff gears

I agree with Birdmann. Start by removing the K&N. It sounds like you could have over-oiled it and likely bunked up your MAF. Think about this: if there was a magic air-cleaner solution that gave better mileage and power don't you think the engineers at Toyota would know that and use them from the get go?
