Need new windshield

Question...I need to get a new windshield for my 1996 4Runner (5 deer ran out infront of me last night and I only managed to miss 4 of them) and was wondering what is the difference is between the green and bronze windshields...does it matter which I get? I plan on going through a salvage yard so need to determine which color. Since it is a 3rd generation 1996 4runner, will a windshield from any model between 1996 and 2002 fit the car. Thanks a bunch for any input or feedback

To determine what you have now, take a white sheet of paper and place it on the windshield. Look at it through the glass. It'll either look slightly green or slightly bronze.

Find a reputable glass shop that can install for you. Don't go to a body shop or dealer. All they will do is charge you more and call that same glass shop to come do the replacement.
