Need opinions on headlight

Hey guys I need your opinions, I have a '03 toyota 4runner. I was coming home the other day and hit a deer. It cracked the housing on my passenger headlight and some trim panels got tweeked alittle. The only other damage was a crack in the front bumper. I took care of the trim and just snapped it back in more or less, but the headlight has to be replaced. There is not enough damage to report to the insurance company. Needless to say it could have had a lot more damage, I was lucky! I can buy another headlight to replace this one or I can order the blacked out headlights and tail lights and replace all of them. I looked on partznet and a new headlight is $165. On burtman industries new black headlights are $225 and tails are $155, so in all it would be $380. I am leaning towards getting the black ones all around. What do you guys think? Oh ya my 4runner has the stratosphere mica paint (dark blue) and gray cladding.

Just be aware those blacked headlights are replicas so the beam patten isn't as good as the oem lights. This is the OEM version of the blacked lights supplied to the JDM Hilux, but they are much more expensive: http://www.newtoyotaparts.com/product/?id=1181. The good thing is they will have a better beam pattern (which you'll have to adjust since these are for RHD models)

I have blacked out tail lights and I couldn't be happier with them....

I'd get bull bar if deer is common where you drive.

thanks for the replies guys. Well I have to say no on the bull bar, just don't like the looks of it. So when you say the blacked out replicas don't have a good beam pattern what does that really mean. Does it not project light as far? Is it harder to adjust the hight of the beam? Anyone have the burtman industries head lights? If so what are your opinions? So the rears are ok, no problems?

sorry guys just did a search and found the answers to my questions. Looks like I am just going to order one oem headlight
