On my 4runner I currently have some donahoe/icon ext coilovers and I am throwing around the idea of selling them and picking up some 883 coils and 891s/LC coils. I have a guy that is interested in the coilovers for $600 but if I keep the coilover I have to buy a uniball upper arm which will run 500+ and then I still have to do the rear. I think I would be able to piece together a lift with the money I get for my donahoes. Let me know what you guys think. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

do you have any pics by chance? Ive wanted to see the icons on a 3rd gen.

I need upper arms cause they are the ext travel shock and if I take it wheeling it will bind the upper ball joint cause it droops out more than the factory shock. Here is a pic of my 4runner with them on but I have them set at stock height.

Anyone else?

Yeah, I dont know anyone else that has mentioned running the Icons, I dont have a strong opinion on em cuz I dont know anything about em.

Be patient, Im sure someone knows something about them and can make an educated statement on whether you should keep em or not, but ultimately its kinda up to you what you want to do with your runner.

I would also recommend keeping the Icon's. Your user name indicates the need for good quality suspension. While the OME stuff and Ultimate kit or SS 1.2 kit are nice you would still be giving up a lot. Yes having to buy UCA's is an added expense but think of it this way. Toytec Ultimate average is about 1K. CO's you already have $1200.

Cost to complete your suspension lift 891's $150 UCA(all-pro 500, Camburg 600, Total Chaos 700 and ICON 1000) Trekmaster LC shocks $100 or Bilsteins $200.

Ya my user name is what I am into but I currently live in the Houston so there is no desert anywhere near here and most of the time it is a street queen with the occasional weekend wheeling.
