Need single din radio installation kit

I'm installing a single din ipod receiver in the giant double din hole. Problem is I don't know if I'm finding the correct install kit. I don't need a wiring harness just the dash kit to hold the receiver in. I did a search and came up with a few kits but they all look like they would hold the old school knob type radios. It'd make it a lot easier if someone that's done the install can throw me a part # or link.

Nothing wrong with Chevelle, just been listening to the same CD for 2 weeks because it's pretty much the only one I still have that doesn't skip too bad. Been using ipod for the past few years, so no new cds.

You need part #88-00-8000 or a universal single din pocket #88-00-9000 both made by Metra your local car audio shop or Best Buy should carry it.

So that's the pocket that the receiver will sit in? Looks like the storage pocket. But if so then what about a filler panel? I can just custom fab a panel to throw some gauges in.

All you need is screws to mount a single DIN unit. There are brackets inside the dash. Sometimes the faceplate won't match up but mine did. The issue is the empty half. Mine had a storage pocket from the factory and I think that is what Yukon was suggesting. Then you just need an aftermarket Toyota harness plug to marry the wiring which you can get at Best Buy or most car audio stores.

Do those pockets have slants for CDs or is it an empty pocket?
