New to this .org but will enjoy everyones input. Got my 1st 4R, 2008 - have always wanted one. V-6 4WD but want to get more performance. Has anyone heard or used the G-Force ECU chip to improve performance and gas economy? I am in Denver & my vehicle is outside  so I am looking for a quality car cover that will withstand the snow in winter and heat in summer. Any ideas guys and/or gals.

As eskimo says, nothing you can bolt on will significantly improve mileage. A supercharger can improve performance, but it will reduce mileage.

Chips are for eating. You'll be highly disappointed, IMO.

An SUV with a car cover... :wtf: If you DO, please post some pics.

The only real way to tune is either the URD maf cali, mapecu2, or the APR X1. I have the X1 and I'll tell ya GET ITT!!!!!!!! I can pull and pass 350z's, some evo's, sti's, s2k. but the X1 is pricey. its also not in stock for some reason but the other two are pretty good.

I don't Believe you. At all actually. Any videos? There is only so much software can do to a naturally aspirated engine.

I don't have a video camera. you can look up some runs on youtube or whatever. This is very popular with xrunners. The base tune nets 30 hp and 20 ft lbs of torque. once you run the hot tune, long tubes without the front cats, you'll see a HUGE improvement. But you can believe all you want if you come to sa I'll show you if you want.

And with those numbers your just at V8 performance figures. I still dont believe that your V6 4runner can beat the cars you listed.

Whatever though.

I can't speak for the #'s that skyline is tossing around or if he's talking RWHP or crank, advertised or actual. But i can say that on my 300 crank HP stock mustang (~265 RWHP), a CAI & custom tune netted me an additional 25 RWHP (where a no-tune CAI only gains about 5 RWHP).

For a really hot tune and figuring that our 4.0's are detuned anyway, I'd lift an eyebrow at any tune boasting over 25-30 RWHP gains.

This is a joke, right?

There is simply no way you can get a V6 T4R to pull on any of those cars. I'm sorry. Unless those cars were missing their wheels or motors...and even then they'd still probably pull on a 4R...
