Need some advice! 245 vs. 255

So I have an 04 sport with a 2.5" lift and it finally time to replace the tires. I've been planning on going with 255 75 17 bfg mts. so here's the question: I have been given a set of practically new bfg km2 that are 245 75 17, so would these work on my sport wheels, and if so do you think these will just look too tall and skinny being a 245. I would go to the bfg site and look at allowable wheel sizes for the tire size - it is shown in their detailed spec info. I believe the t4r rims are 8". Might look a little skinny but I like the price.

I think I errored on width - I see that for the 07 the 16" are 7" and 17" and 18"are 7.5".

Yeah I believe the tire will work, just not sure how the skinnier tire is going to look.
