need some advice on hesitation problem

Hey guys Im new to the forum. Ive got a 96 toyota 4runner sr5 v6 5speed with 184,000. I just bought it 2 weeks ago and can't seem to figure out this hesitation problem. It happens about 3000 to 4000 rpms 3/4 throttle, feels like something is holding it back. If u hold it wide open it comes alive kinda like a powerband. Ive changed the tps, mass air flow sensor, plugs and wires, fuel filter. It idles great and I have no codes. Im down to 02 sensor, injectors,or a partically clogged cat. Ive never wanted a check engine light so bad,I can't figure it out.Any Ideas

what was the problem??? My 1998 w/3.4 V6 is doing this after ALTERNATOR replacement???
