need some advice selling my runner

What are most 4runners in your area going for? If theyre similar in features and condition going for the same price then i'd say youre fine. I paid less for mine with less miles but its a 97 and i'm 2000 miles away from you so its a totally different market. Check some local listings and compare prices. Looks like a good add though.
 
I just saw your ad. Looks fine to me.

Obvious question is... why?

Why would you sell a perfectly good 4Runner for a Jeep that you will have to fix all the time? ( I've had 3 of them )

Just my opinion, but I think you are trading down.

I gt lucky, I just bought a 00 5spd, e-locker, 117k miles for 6k. but I have to add a hitch and roof rack.

so yours with what you have done to it (lift and such) I would say your close to a ball park for the right buyer. but expect lower offers if you get some one looking.

there hard to find around here in Montana or the north west for that matter with an e-locker.

and after you have lifted your runner, I would say its cheaper to get new tires and mudding with that.
but hey I am not hear to say what you like. just surprised.

Jeeps can be fun like any off road worthy vehicle so to each there own.

Whether you are selling a 4Runner or Tercel, if you aren't getting any bites after a while, your price is too high. Try lowering the price for a week or two, if still no activity, lower it again. People on craigslist are usually looking for a deal.
 
1. Advertise in multiple locations (I know CL frowns on this but there are ways to get around their programs.) I would advertise in the biggest metro area in your region, probably KC, certainly Topeka.

2. As nice as your 4runner is, $7k is awfully high for a 12 year old vehicle with nearly 200k miles.

3. Regarding all your "add ons", they don't really add much to the value of the vehicle. If I was you I'd remove what you can and sell those separately.

Well I found a jeep with 35's and an 8" lift for sale... its a 97 wrangler. they come with a solid front axle, so would be better for trailing by nature. I figure if im going to have a play vehichle it might as well be BIG and I dont have the money to make the runner big.

thanks for all the advice guys. I just got my first bite today, he is comming to test drive it tomorrow so I am hoping for the best
