Hey guys, I got my 2003 v8 4.7 liter sr5 4runner for my 16th bday, I got a job and finally have the money to make some upgrades, I've already made some fixes from the previous owner(new side markers, rear reflector, headlight bulbs, interior scratches) and I'm looking for some cool upgrades w/o dropping too much money, and I have a black one and am looking for a kinda blacked out look,I've been looking at a bull bar, any suggestions interior or exterior??

Plasti dip.

But... Check for frozen calipers. The 4th Gen 4Runner is very prone to a frozen caliper. I have a 03 SR5 V8 too (but its white) and have a frozen caliper. Also change the oil and different fluid, and timing belt and water pump too (if over 90k and has never been done)

Do all needed maintenance items before Modding.

Thanks for the suggestions, I've already replaced all the fluids and filters and timing belt, but could you explain what a caliper is and how to check it, also, what is a plasti dip? Thanks

There is nothing wrong with it as it is. You have a job so start saving everything you can for college or other post HS education. You will thank me later.

As other posters will recommend, make sure everything is solid mechanically first.

If you want the murdered-out look:
Debadge, remove the V8 emblem, and plasti-dip the remaining two Toyota emblems. Plasti-dip your rims. Cost: 4-5 cans of plasti-dip.

Interior: I would probably do JA's interior LED light mods in 4300K-8000K (personal preference) to modernize the interior a bit. Cost: $40 if you ebay or go cheapo on the LED's. Next, I'd talk to emelianenkov to update the dash & climate control lights.

After that? Well, how much do you want to spend and what areas do you want to focus on? How will you most likely use your T4R?
