Need some Canvasback advice from a 2014 TE owner

Hi, all. I'm taking delivery of my 2014 TE Premium Nautical Blue Metalic 4runner in about 2-3 weeks. It's waiting patiently to be released from the port and shipped to me. I have a dog and I am convinced that the Canvasback Cargo Cover is the protection I want/need for the back. They make a bumper flap that hangs down over the threshold, over the bumper and, if I get it long enough, over the silver lip on the back bumper.

The question I have for a 2014 TE and Canvasback owner is: How long should the bumper flap be to cover the silver lip assuming the bumper flap starts at the rearward edge of the cargo area carpet? Will one of you lucky owners please whip out a tape measure and give me a measurement on the distance from the carpet edge to the hitch, please? Or, ideally, maybe one of you already has the Canvasback bumper flap and can post a picture with its length?

Once I have this measurement, I can place my order with Canvasback. Hopefully the vehicle and the cover will arrive close together and I can protect the vehicle right away.

You may be better off with a Husky liner in back and spray the bumper with bed liner. I have seen a few posts about this and it looks like a good method. Not sure what to search for, but take a look.

I have the canvasback liners on my 2014 but have a slide out tray so I don't think it would help much. The liners are great

I honestly don't see why you are worried about the bumper getting scratches

Thanks, BobsTrail. That's a good link and a great idea for the future, if my bumper gets damaged. But, for now, the Canvasback liner will do what I wish. I just need to figure out how long I want the bumper flap to be.
