Need some help - Electrical....wont start and died in action

Need some help please....last thurs my 05 sr5 would not start....put key in, everything powered, but would not even crank or hear clicking....windows and lights were NOT dimming/slowing.....had it towed....dealer replaced battery (told them that was not issue), picked up following day...and it died in action pulling up to a light 20 min later as I was coming to stop. Same thing...tried to start and nothing not even cranking. They towed it back, left till Monday and it started right up....they were thinking windows seal leak, or somethign....they say they tested, alternator, starter, coils, solenoids, traced back condensate from AC, key fab, etc.....looking for help because this bill will SUCK.

There's only a few circuits with the ability to drian a battery in 20 minutes. My money is on the alternator. I had mine tested good in my Mr2 and replaced with with a toyota one and never had an issue again.

If you do replace the alternator, unless you like replacing it many times go Toyota for that part.
 
thanks.....not sure if its an battery draining thing, or the ECU or something like that. When it first happened, a guy tried to give me a jump.....nothing...as if he wasnt even ther..Called my local guy (the dealer its at is not my local as it happened away from home)....said it seems as if they are trying to diagnose correctly...we shall see.
 
What is your security light doing when you try to crack? When it died at the stop light, did it just cut out or sputter? I'm wondering if something is tripping or confusing the anti theft system into thinking its being stolen. You said the lights didn't dim and that a jump didn't do anything which makes me think the vehicle is purposefully, trying not to start.
 
Got it back last friday...wanted to drive over the weekend to make sure the issue was not coming back up. Dealer said that they could not find a smoking gun, but they replaced a few bad relays and if there was any issue with my fog lights or dome light, to give them a call....franky, have not tried either yet.....no issues as of yet, but my rear windsheild wiper does not work. Thanks for the input....any idea where the relays are physlically located on the car?
 
UPDATE:....WTF....Fuel pump fuse was culprit

here we go....so I am at the beach two weekends ago and pull into get food....when I come out...the same thing...wont start...try again..and the starter engages on the way back..what I mean is when you try to turn the car over there is a spring like tension..when the car starts,,,,you let go and the key springs back into the on position (car running)...if hte car does not start, you have a tendency to not let go, but manually back the key to the 'on' position...when I did this,,,the starter engaged. Fast forward to last friday...come out of store and nothing....let the car sit for a few hours and it starts...so I take it to the dealer near my house (thompson toyota - doylestown)...they are pretty good... and figure that the car needs an alignment to so while its there get it done. As the car is getting the alignment, it dies...they finally traced it back to a faulty fuel pump fuse. what a *****...but if they are right....my t4r is back and healthy....oh friggen yeah.

BTW...I have the electrical schematic for the starter circuit...anyone need? should I scan and post?
