whats up everyone!
Last Friday I purchased a 2 owner (last owner having it for the last nine years) 97 4runner 4x4 in great condition it had 203k miles on it. But looking at it and driving it you would think it was alot newer.
The carfax showed some things done to it, most recently the dealership replaced the front brakes. But no history of the timing belt/waterpump now the little sticker is really faded but it says the belt was changed at 87k miles.
now I guess my question would be is there away the dealership can look to see if it was changed a second time just by looking at the car?
I hate to dump $600 into something that might of been done by an outside mechanic a few years ago and didnt have a new sticker.
Also does Toyota have anything that they can check for all the common issues with the 4runners like the axel seals etc... (like a 100 pt inspection)?
any advice would be great!!!
