Hey guys. Been working on the 4runner for about a month and finally got it back going. Did the whole front suspension and took care of some other CELs I had but unrelated to what I did, I still have a CEL coming up, p0773. I also have a p0710 but I'm more concerned with the p0773. This code is for the E shift solenoid. My question is related to the torque converter lock up. When you guys with the 3.4 and an auto transmission are cruising about 60 and you EASE onto the gas, do the RPMS roll right up to 2500 or more or do the RPMs creep up as the speed increases? I'm trying to figure out if the torque converter is locking up so I can know for sure if the E solenoid is in need of replacement or if I should dig deeper into an electrical issue. When I take the o/d switch off I feel 3 distinct shifts and then after hitting the button I feel it shift one time and after that the RPMs drop no more. Shouldn't the RPMs drop one last time as the TC locks up?
Sorry for the wordy post.
Thanks
