need some opinions

so my tires are worn down really bad i am running 265-70-16 with stock suspension and i happen to have a set of 285-75-16 bfg a/t's from my old truck with good tread left, my question is can these be put on? I don't really understand the whole back spacing thing, i know i sound like an idiot, i plan on lifting it but short on funds will this be doable for the time being since my tires are so worn, if i don't do any wheeling or make tight turns, i am ok with some rubbing because i will be lifting it in about 2-3 months but just don't like sitting around waiting for a blow out when i have 4 good tires, Thanks in advance

Untill you lift, you are going to have some major rubbing. I would hold off until you can afford a lift.

i know i normally would but my tires are very very bald, i am just wandering if it is possible and if anyone has done it?

Yeah it is possible, you will need to trim the front bumper valience the most. You may get away with only trimming that part. It can be done though.
