Need Some Quick Help, Engine Keeps Dying

I need some quick help as I need to diagnose and fix my problem by tomorrow morning. I was getting off the freeway tonight, pulled up to a stop light and my engine died. I tried turning it over and it would barely start and die right away unless I constantly gave it gas. I kept having to keep the throttle up otherwise it would die completely. I'm thinking it's the IAC acting up, but I'm looking for some more options/things to look for. I have to have my 4runner back tomorrow morning as I need it for work. Any help is greatly appreciated and I'm going to clean the IAC right now. Thanks in advance.

check your vacuum hoses to make sure one didn't disconnect.

Spark plugs/Wires? Could even look at the fuel pump.

+1, might sound dumb. but more often than not it's those obvious things that can be a snake in the grass.

I did but I didn't see any loose.

Spark plugs and wires looked fine. I haven't touched them or the engine recently. Might be the fuel pump or lines. I'll check those after the IAC.

Ended up being the IAC. I got 3 of the 4 screws loose but the 4th stripped. Go figure. I just ended up cleaning the throttle body and spraying into the hole where the IAC is. It started right up and was idling high. I also got a cel for P0120. I cleared it but we'll see if it come back in the next couple of days. I took it out for a test drive and didn't have any issues accelerating and I got it to redline. Hopefully that solves my issue. Thanks again for the help!

FWIW after I cleaned my throttle body, my engine idled high for a while as well. I think it's pretty common, good to see you got it back running so quickly!

Cleaned my throttle body this past weekend and i'm noticing a sporadic high idle as well. Must be the residual left from the cleaner. Hope it burns out soon!

i did the same thing on my pickup and it went away after a few days...
