Need Some Roof Rack Help

I have a Yakima Skybox that I use for extra storage space when camping and on our last trip, I bought a kayak I had to rig up in order to get it home. So I need to be able to mount both up on the roof rack properly. Below is a photo of both rigged up just to get the boat home but I don't like how I had to tie it up there. What options are out there to get both to fit correctly on the roof rack? There just isn't much room left on the factory rack even with pushing the Yakima box all the way to one side.

Can I get some type of longer Yakima bar system to mount to my factory roof rack?

Thanks,

I haven't had a rack like that before but I do know you can get longer bars for aftermarket racks. I have seen some around town that stick out almost a foot on each side of the car. SUP boarding is big in my area and the roof is the only way to transport them. I recommend Google.

Get a Yakima or Thule rack system with wider bars; they both offer systems that mount to the factory side rails. Put the Skybox on one side and get a proper kayak rack for the other side

I have some yakima bars on mine. "Railgrabs" are the name of the mechanism that attaches to the factory rack. Don't remember what width bars I'm using, but you can certainly get wider ones. Don't have a great pic, but hopefully you can make it out in the pic below. By the looks of your setup however, you may be hard pressed to get those items side by side at all. If you can they would probably be quite a bit wider than the roof, possibly even wider than your mirrors.

I am jealous of your black factory rack. Did you paint that? Really dislike the silver color on mine. Doesn't match the rest of the truck so well these days.

Should've bought some Yakima's while you were at GAF ... it was all on sale 30% off.

I'm not sure if the railgrabs will work with your factory bars ... I have the previous version mounted on my '06 Sport with 66" crossbars and can carry 4-5 playboats OR 2 playboats with a Rocketbox.
