Need to know what this is and what it does. HELP!

oh I see it now... It's probably a one-way vacuum check valve. you should be able to suck on one side with no resistance, while the other will be solid.

edit: sorry! didn't explain what it did. the point to this is to hold vacuum in a circuit when the engine is off or when no vacuum is being produced under such conditions like wide open throttle (WOT). Without this, a device that requires vacuum will not operate correctly if there's none available. A vacuum solenoid comes to mind.

Will it mess with my rpms? Mine go up and down and be I put my foot on the gas peddle its a bit hesitant then it will go. Any idea where it goes?

Where did you find that part? Also, do you see any loose vacuum lines Nader the hood? What year and engine do you have?

Off the top of my head, the only one way check valve that we have is on the brake booster vacuum line.

When I fixed a blown head gasket, I can only remember it came off a vacuum hose. Which is why I posted this. But I got a 95 SR5 V6 EFI

I'll have to take a peek at mine but I recall something on the passenger side. It could be possible that it's causing enough of a vacuum leak. They put a check valve there for a reason. I just don't know what circuit it's for.

Wow, with that out of the system you should be getting this message on the dash letting you know your Blinker Fluid is low.



Oh wait, that's on a Jeep
