need to rebuild the transfer case, best source for parts in EUROPE?

The transfer case started giving me troubles again, after I had the chain replaced exactly two years ago. When accelerating or starting from a steep uphill position the chain skips on the cogwheel. And the shifters are also stuck.

Its a pretty standard operation but my problem is that I have a U.S. T4R Limited V8 in Europe and importing parts through the dealer is out of question. Much too expensive! Also 2nd hand for these type of parts is not the best idea.

So I am looking for a source for new bearings, chain & gaskets of the transfer case in Europe! Any hints?:help:

If you're having repeated chain failures in the tcase, you need to investigate why. Unless you are really stressing it in low-range, those things should last forever, and chain failures are very rare.

I would check for adequate lubrication first, and then, if you have it apart, make sure the the sprockets are aligned. Someone may have installed a bearing or thrust washer improperly the last time it was rebuilt, causing misalignment and early failure. There's also a possibility of an improperly assembled oil pump, leading to poor lubrication.

The fact that your shifters are stuck leads me to believe there might be a lubrication issue.

Might be time for a new transfercase? If it were me I would assess the damage that has been done and see if its worth fixing it and risking it failing again, or just getting a completely new tcase.
