Need Wheel Opinion Asap Please

Gents,

I am going to install new wheels this weekend. There are 3 option. Each is the toyota TRD 16" rim that is on the FJ cruiser, it comes in 3 different colors. Silver, Gunmetal, and Black. There are only a few sets of black around the country, and the dealers who still have them want over $300 per wheel. The gunmetal and silver will run about 150/wheel. My runner is desert dune, i love the idea of gunmetal to save some bux but not sure how it will look. The black has the disadvantage of being matte and will show scratches more. Votes please?

are you shure you want toyota rims there are so many beatiful rims from other companies. i would go with the silver ones myself. i want black rims but im glad my MB Blitz rrims ar silver or else they would be super duper scraatched

good luck getting a set of those! i wont even go into my adventure of trying to get them lol With the desert dune i think the silver will look the best too. The matte black would be sweet also IMO i think you should get some trd stickers on the side if you dont already. Have that red "TRD" on the centercaps to match. good stuff! by the way if you go another brand of wheel you can always order the TRD center caps. thats what i did. there just taking forever to get here. its been a month and i only have 3 so far!!

Good luck getting the black ones. They are REALLY hard to get. Just ask GottaBeTRD.

I would go with the gunmetal ones. I would like to get those for mine.

ya go ebay cause i spent like $70 "each" at the stealership. and they look the exact same as the ones on ebay. IMO i think the red in those stickers would look goooooood!:rocker: with the trd caps. ill be very very jelous if you do get them!! good luck!

Those wheels are sick. i would love to get my hands on some, but if i were to pay top dollar id go a little more custom.

If money is no issue go black, if you dont like em, sell em at a discount. there are obviously plenty of buyers, plus it will pay for the gunmetal ones instead.

damn, split 50/50 on this thread b/w gunmetal and silver. choices choices. i think ive decided not to go with the black though, 300 per wheel is just ridiculous.

Go for the silver centers. All black may be too harsh for your color. Gunmetal is a little better, but still too much.

Black wheels are over popularized and aren't really being different anymore so I'd suggest gunmetal.

so are you saying you actually found dealership with these rims in stock? not in their warehouse? just a heads up if i they are in the warehouse be prepared to provide a vin # plus an accident report lol! the dealership may not know they cant sell them to anyone without an SE fj howeveryou may be ok if you go with the silver ones cause at one of my dealerships they had a pic display of them for custom wheel choices. i just wanted the black ones but ya i couldnt get them. i have friends that work at toyota and i used to sell for one of huge toyota dealerships here and thought i could maybe work it but oh no... i couldn't. i will be jelous if you get them and your truck will be original and Bad Azz
