I got the "okay" to retrofit my headlights with HID projectors and I wanted to keep this upgrade around ~$300 and pretty straightforward (mainly because i have a '11 TE with 200k+ miles :wow2
. I'm new to the upgrade and have been doing some research lately trying to get smarter. I've decided to do a complete HID retrofit and I've narrowed down my choices to the following two which i'll be getting from www.theretrofitsource.com:
1. Morimoto Mini-D2S Stage 3 Kit

Here are my questions:
1. Is there a big difference in performance between both projectors, the mini D2S 4.0 and the TL-R? From my understanding, the D2S is designed after the TL projectors, so is there any real differences? I'm considering the TL projectors because it seems like one of the best projectors on the market although these won't be OEM projectors
2. Has anyone installed TL projectors in a 5G 4R?
3. Any big challenges between the installation of both options?
4. What shrouds do you recommend?
I hope to make this purchase asap while my wife is in a good mood lol
