[Fun Runner 85]

I sent my motor to a friend of a friend to rebuild my blown 22re and he had it for over 3 weeks jus to tell me its to bad to rebuild. I don't know wat to do now I wanna get a motor that is reliable. Wat should I do should I get a new motor r a use one I bought this 85 because of the 22re.. any suggestion on wat I should do and where I could get one looking to jus get something reliable and simple..

well, going new is always a good decision. Jasper engines are pretty good, and are warrantied. JASPER Engines & Transmissions: Remanufactured engine: diesel, marine, import to find prices and dealers. A local salvage yard should have a complete motor, but as with all used items, you're buying someone else's problem. Don't get me wrong, there are some real diamonds out there, but there are far more that aren't all that great.

If you can spare the coin, get new. Or, if you're really rich, LC Engineering for some real drool-worthy hopped up 22RE's

Used engines go for around $300 depending on your area... Put a post on craigslist that you're looking for an engine. If your friend can rebuild an engine, he can tune up a used one from a totaled truck or one that's been sitting.

So I did quite a bit of research lc enginering is hella expensive but also heard really good thing.. but was looking more for a lesser amount.. all used motors around here in socal wat I have noticed I could be wrong but there all asking 6 to 700 for a used one.. the problem I have with that is ill spend the money and then it breaks so I think I'm starting to lean towards a rebuilt.. I found a junkyard called cal mini trucks I think in montclair which would charge around 1600 for a rebuilt long block and will change over my componets.. but I heard a lot of good things about this place and one bad. But everyone else around here seems to want around 2000 for a rebuilt.. but ill check. Out that website u posted.. thank u guys for ur help..

Ok I will check that out.. I found a place in canoga ca that charge 900 for a rebuilt long block and a 100 dollars to take my componets off my old motor and put tem on the new one.. there called S and E automotives has anyone heard about them.

you can also do the 1kze switch but that engine is hard to maintain
