Just wanted to say Hi to everyone. I'm a new Toyota owner and new to the 4Runner world. I have the 2003 LTD 4WD V8. So looking forward to reading all the info here and sharing advice and getting advice about our rides.
So far I love the vehicle. I hope it holds up well and is a capable offroader (since FLA hunting is pretty tough).
I traded in my 99 Nissan Frontier V6 KC 4WD w/ 100K miles on it. Not a single prob on the truck except for the rear drive shaft carrier bearing going bad. I put a Calmini 3" lift, Calmini Steering System, ARB bumper, 32x11.5 ProComp AT's on AR wheels. My 4Runner looks way lower than my Frontier, but did not have all of the traction control devies on it like the 4Runner.
Previous to the Nissan, I lived in Cali (back in the late 80's) and had a Samurai. But did spring over axle, F/R lockers, lower gears and 32" tires. Ran multiple trails in the S.L. Tahoe area in it. Loved the little vehicle.
Got to run. Talk to everyone later!
