Thanks, Thai. Hmmm...push button start huh? The lack of a definitive C Pillar makes it resemble a Highlander even more so. Call me stupid but can someone please explain what that dial to the right of the shifter does? I can't make it out except for the "ON/OFF" and lower "ECT" buttons.

I'm going to say it's for suspension dampening mode for sport, normal and off-road. Sport will probably lower it, normal at regular height and slightly lifted for off-road.

Just like the new Highlander, it looks very nice wants you get inside, its walking up to it before you get inside that I'm having trouble with.:awais:

I'll know I'm gonna get heat for this. Looks better than the FJ, I'm more receptive of the new LC200 debut than the FJ's debut. Is it still ugly? Yes.

I think the Sequoia will look better, at least from the spy shots with it under cammo. The Tundra like styling works for me.

But I got my 4R and I'm not upgrading anytime soon in the SUV dept. So for now whatever Toyota is cranking out is irrelevant with the exception of the possible (rumored) 4-cyl RWD 2+2 coupe or updates to the Lexus GS.

I too plan on keeping my 4R , but the FJ has really grown on my and as it comes out with more changes up grade packages , maybe 4dr version , I might just get one , biggest thing would be the 4dr , which I think they need to have to stay with the competition. I look at it like the H3/H2 , its so ugly its kind of cool looking . Hated it when it first came out though.

I am going to say it is for the boat! there is a boat that pops out when you turn that switch. due to all the rain lately the installed a flotie! you can see the pic below with the poofie cloud looking thing under the bottom poping out!

the knob on the dash controls the speed setting of the hill ascent/descent assist. there are three settings, plus on and off.

at least, that's what i can tell from a zoomed in look at the pic.

If you have not found your answer already, I believe it is a 3 speed control for the new downhill control system. This is new and has been highlighted in some of the reviews.

I'm sorry guys but I don't think that the exterior of the '08 LC is all that ugly. The interior is really nicely done IMHO and much, much, much nicer than the '08 Sequoia.
