New 2000 4Runner owner - what do I need to know?

I had two 1997 5-speed 4Runners, one with the locker and one without, and I got 270K out of one and 300K out of the other. I just bought a one-owner, never offroad, 2000 SR5, 5-speed, no locker, 140K miles. I've been looking for one in this shape for a couple of years. I had to have a 5-speed, and they are rare as heck in Colorado anymore, unless they are beat up or outrageously priced.

I know the suspension is slightly different, the bumpers and some interior pieces are different. What else do I need to know? I think there were some issues with the catalytic converters on the 1999 models, do the 2000's have the same problems? Is there an FAQ thread about the 2000's?

They were both 1997 models. I am interested in what the differences are with the 2000 model from the 1997.

I almost bought a low mile 1999 5-speed once that was 100K miles and mint, except that the cats were blown out. I was told that there was some kind of ECU/EGR issue that could cause too rich a mixture to flow downstream.

In case you never priced them, replacing both cats is about a $1500 hit. I wanted to know if the 2000's had the same issues, or any other issue I needed to know about.
