New 2006 18" Limited Rims

I have a Black 2005 4Runner SE 4x4 and I love my car.

I am currently looking to purchase the 18" Limited Rims for my car.

Any experiences on how differently the car rides with these larger rims?

Not sure if it helps but I found the ride to be very comfortable and quiet, albeit I have the full Limited package.

I just put these rims on my 4runner last week. I got 265/60 Wrangler SR-A's put on to got with them. However, I am getting them exchanged (thanks Goodyear and Sears) for Fortera SilentArmor's with Kevlar in mid may. The is no negative difference in ride. If anything, I think it rides better. I don't like the wranglers. If you go to tirerack.com they have the stock Michelin CrossTerrains in stock (although low). I will take a pic of my setup tonight and post it. So it looks like you bought your rims aftermarket as well.

How much and where did you pick them up? ebay has them (4) for $800 which I feel is reasonable. But I'd like to buy 5 and replace the spare just to make everything complete.

That's how much I paid for mine at oemrims.com. You don't need to replace the spare if you don't want to, the 18" wheels with 265/60 tires are the same diameter as stock. Check out my sig for tires...

The ride feels very smooth. In fact, my 4R doesn't ride like a truck very much.

I saw them once on eBay for more or less the same price. I don't think tires were included though.

My original expectation was that driving around the city would be no problem with larger rims. If anything, it should perform better with bigger rims and slightly lower profile tires. I still remember something from my rice rocket days.

But is the offroad or snow driving any different from the 16" or 17". Probably not very big difference since I have 4WD is the most important part.

Anyway, performance aside, I just like the way the 18" rims look. I wish Toyota made stock 20" rims I'd consider aftermarket but nothing seems to look that good with the 4Runner but the stock rims.

Should fit any 4th gen without any problems, 2003-06.

Wow man that looks quite nice! I wonder how those would look in 22"s!

I notice that you also have a front tint job. What level is that?

I put 5% on the front two, and another layer of 20% on all the rest (minus the windshield of course) to get to an even color all around. Looks very dark from the outside, but very easy to see from the inside. I have no problem driving at night with the tint....
