Congrats! Another LC Owner! But where are the pics?
Thanks! You're partly responsible for this big hole in my bank account. I'll try to take some pictures tomorrow and figure out how to post them. I took delivery in the rain, and it proceeded to rain all day today, so it's not the cleanest vehicle.
Next month, during spring break (my wife is in grad school), we're spending a week in the Big Bend. I'll also try to come back with some pictures of the LC in its natural habitat.

Thanks, Thai. The Big Bend trip will be my first time really off the pavement, and it'll be mild compared to real off-roading. I bought the truck because my wife and I have started spending more time outside, and we've been in a few spots where I've really appreciated the importance of a capable vehicle. I need to spend some time reading the off-road threads to learn how to use the truck properly. I'm less interested in off-roading for off-roading's sake than in the truck's ability to get me somewhere a passenger car can't, to see an animal / plant / scenic view we wouldn't see otherwise.

Like you, i won't be doing crazy stuff anymore after my last outing...i am getting tired of spending 2-3 hours of cleaning up my G afterwards!

It's tinted. From the factory all you get is green-tinted anti-UV glass. The tint comes as an add-on or part of the big port-installed option package, the 'Extra Mile', which is $1600 worth of little add-ons, some worthwhile and some not.
In my case, the salesman and I were a few hundred bucks apart on price at the end, and we settled it with a free window tint.

I had to fill the spare with air not too long ago & forgot to check which number was lower than the rest.

I haven't even tried to figure out the tire situation. It seems like it wouldn't be much harder for the sensors to be registered to a positions (GM does it!) but such is life. I'm just glad to have the numbers instead of an idiot light. We picked up a Prius for my wife tonight and it has an idiot light and the color-coded valve stem covers that turn green/yellow/red. I'm not sure that that set-up isn't better, in some ways.
I didn't sleep in it - in fact I haven't figured out how to fold all those seats yet. The owner's manual is thick, but a bit ambiguous in spots. Crawl control is a good example - it's the star feature of the truck, but it gets only two or three pages that never actually say exactly how to turn it on (it's easy to figure out, but it's an interesting contrast to all the detailed instructions for everything else, including sleeping in it).

My G500 manual is also the same way...i have lockers, but the Owner's Manual is rather ambiguous on how to use it, when to use it, and so on.
Neither the salesman nor the service person at my MB dealership even knows how to use the 4wd system correctly. Same goes for my brother's Lexus dealership.
Oh well...i did the same thing for my 2002 4runner that i am doing now on my G...learn everything on my own.

Yep, the LC manual is similar. I'm advised to use the center locker 'when the wheels get stuck in a ditch'. That's helpful.
One other thing I've just noticed - for such a massive vehicle, there is no storage space. With 10 airbags, 14 speakers, 31 air outlets (!) and the console cooler box the only interior storage space is the glove box (which ain't that big, owing to the fresh air filter). I can't figure out where to keep a set of jumper cables.

Have you tried playing a DVD with Dolby 5.1? It sounds great.
