Hey i just bought my first T4R! Super excited about it and to be apart of this community.
I don't know too much about trucks/SUVs but I want to learn more.
So, I'm from Chicago and the city likes putting salt down on the roads. Any suggestions on how to prevent future corrosion and rust? I guess wash the car frequently and get someone to clean the undercarriage?
Also, there are a few things I want to do with my car:
Bull bar vs brush guard? Opinions?
Bigger tires/wheels and a small lift kit... not sure how that works so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sound system but nothing super crazy. Just want clear high quality sound.
Let me know what yall think

I'm in the South so no salt worries down here. I've heard of a lot of guys up North that keep their undercarriage coated with POR-15 to prevent rust.
Keep it clean as best you can and touch up any paint problems underneath.

Yeah. Don't they coat the undersides with oil up there?

And, what's with wanting a bull-bar? In Chicago? Oh, Chicago Bulls! I forgot.

Congrats. Nice looking 4runner.

haha good one buchaja

TNRunner99 - I'm originally from VA so I'm getting adjusted to the midwest conditions and thanks for the tip

Everyone - post your new T4Rs here; like to see more pics of what other people have

Welcome to the family. Hit up the gen section about the best rust prevention for the frame. I have heard of guys using wd40 etc etc. There are products out on the market for frame protection spray on.
