New 2015 RedSled

Also, I like your MetalTech sliders. Were you able to fit those without having to remove any of your mudflaps on front?

Love the red!! And like ur2ez22 said, you soon will be looking at Suspension lifts, Spacers, Wheels / Tires, Gobi Racks, Shrockworks bumpers... partridge in a pear tree.... it gets ugly

I like the sliders, how much did they set you back?
A lot. But I figure the first time some smashes into the slider.....they've paid for themselves.

Thanks! Yup yup. Easy peezy. Took me a few hours by myself. I had to remove the little goofy plastic "L" bracket things at the front of the rear wheel well. The mounting hardware was adequate. The flat washers provided were too small IMO. So, I will be replacing those here shortly.

And no stickers.......fffsssfffssss....[emoji38]

I saw this one at the dealership and it was the red the caught my eye. Then I saw it was a Trail and couldn't believe it! Got lucky I guess. Had to have been there for less than a few days. Had three miles on it.

Premiums, with KDSS, can be almost has hard to find as TRD's from time-to-time. Turned mine into a "Trail Premium TRD PRO." :)

Congrats on the new TE!

I once had a Z71 my wife and I called "The Red Sled". We named it that due to the many snow storms we encountered in that truck traveling to ND for Christmas. Surprisingly, it never let us down or got stuck. Like an idiot I sold it (at 140k miles) for a F150 ecobust. Well, 45k miles (and a bunch of problems) later, I traded my ecobust for my 2014 TE so I guess it isn't so bad. The Red Sled lives on today as one of my supervisor's daily driver. It's well over 200k now, still problem free (GM got one right).

Enough with memory lane, your build is looking good!

Congrats on the purchase, that red really is nice, it was second best on my list. We are really liking our TEP so far and I'm jelly of the sliders.

Oh! I do recommend weathertechs for the front though. The carpet quality sucks and crap really gets stuck in the fibers. I am already experiencing fibers becoming unfrayed from my obsessive vacuuming. The factory rubbers just don't cover enough of the carpet in my opinion.

Also, did you think about blacking out the center grill bar as well? I did on mine and it really completes the front end.

Thanks! I'm happy with it! Would you have a pic handy of the blacked out front? Honestly, I was looking at it the other day and contemplating do it.

I had zero floormates included and the dealer wanted to charge me for them. I had planned on going with weathertechs from the beginning anyways so I put that money into mats I actually wanted. I all ready had rubber mats for the front and was able to clip them into the holders.

Doesn't stand out as much on Magnetic Grey as on Red. I left the emblem alone for the time being as I did nothing with the rear emblems but I think I'll eventually black those out as well.

So, I ordered a Weather Tech bug deflector. Real nice piece. Too bad it doesn't fit..........wtf.

I cannot close the hood now. It's hitting all along the edge of the deflector. :noidea: The headlights and center part of the grill. Has anyone else had this issue??? I called Weather Tech and the tech I talked to seemed to be reading off a cue card. I guess I could raise the hood stops AND the hood latch to accomodate this but that's not really what I want to do for something that is suppose to fit.....:ybrick:

Well, I just got off the phone with Weathertech(very friendly customer support, BTW) again and am going to send them pics tonight. Hopefully, I'll get a resolution. I also mentioned that mine is a TEP vice an SR5, limited or PRO. Not sure if that matters but who knows at this point.
