New 3rd Gen owner from TX

Hello all! Just inherited sister's 98 2WD 3RZ with 356k miles on the clock! Still fires right up, loses no oil, and runs great! I immediately went into a weeks worth of downward spiraling trying to figure out what I was going to do with this thing. We have some land about an hr away from home where I'm leaving the truck and it will basically serve as my beater for when I'm out there.

I'm first considering a long travel kit, at least on the front with somethin nice and cushy in the rear.

I build sbf mustangs primarily and have a nice little 5.0 sitting on an engine stand in the garage so I was heavily considering that swap, but then saw some good turbo builds on here and customtacos that made me want to go that route, either piggybacking with emanage or FIC, or running a full standalone like I do in my mustangs. After the week of spiraling, I kind of decided to just leave the engine alone since it runs fine and I probably don't need too much power where I keep the truck.

Anyways, sorry for the novel and glad to be here!

Houston Texas right here, I have a 91 4wd and and a 93 warn front and back with wench. Wife wants my 91 gone I've replaced all tie rods, shocks but it's ugly kevlared the whole truck I was building up new control arms but lost interest and money and been using parts for my 93.... Window motor only but runs like a champ good drive train solid compression on all six new front end headlights. Working on my 78 Celica Supra 1 right now 2jz transplant

Your neighborhood looks kind of like mine. Lol I may actually be interested in the winch/bumper because mine is 2wd and will probably get stuck on our land.

Coincidentally, I just bought a 4Runner as well: 98 2WD 2.7 3RZ motor with 164k miles.

Before that, I too had a Mustang haha...2011 5.0 5MT. Miss that wonderful car so so much but the insurance payment was as much as my monthly car payment, it was ridiculous lol. SO here I am

No build thread. I have tons of pictures of the mods (from installing the lift, hid's, etc.) but, have not done a build thread (been planning on it).

Also, that is a beautiful mustang. When I was hunting for a new car I looked at a '14 Mustang Gt. I have always loved those cars. The GT500 is one of the best in my opinion! Welcome to the Forums!

Thanks man! I love my mustangs as well. Super fun cars to drive. Supposedly there will be an 18/19 GT500 and it's supposed to be freakish as well. :wof:
