New 4Runner in Canada

Hey everyone,

My first vehicle was an old Toyota Tercel that I paid 400$ back then. It left me with a great impression of quality and reliability.
My significant other and I were on the market for a capable SUV and, after test driving a 4Runner, we quickly realized that this was the perfect vehicle for our needs.

It's a 2015 Trail with 20 km on the clock. My plan is to make a mild expedition truck with a TRD Pro black on white look.
The Trail editions in Canada come standard with all the Gucci equipment like leather, KDSS, nav, sunroof etc.

But for now we are planning a 1000 km camping/expedition trip for the long weekend in southern Saskatchewan. We are leaving it in its stock form for now and see if it needs any improvement.

Welcome. What year tercel did you have. One of my buddies also had on for his first toyota. His was an 87 SR-5 4WD station wagon. Fun little car.

It's been a while but I think it was a 1992 manual. My first manual car and, also, the one I used to teach my SO how to drive stick!

The engine was notorious to burn oil, but all I had to do was to carry some. I kept it well over 300,000kms

Nice. We had a ton of fun with it. I had a 86 2wd drive pick-up with tube bumpers and the 22re. We used to bump into eachother at stop lights and push each other around. We got some funny looks lol. Side question. Do you know anyone part of the Crazed Illusionz car club? They are big in Canada. Im the VP for the chapter in Washington state that we are trying to grow. Just thought it would be an interesting small world thing.

I never heard of that car club but I will google it up.

I can check to see if we have a chapter in your area if your interested. It's a custom car club anything from mild to wild lifted to slammed. Although i do believe i am the only one in the club with a lifted rig let alone that goes wheeling. The Canada national pres said he is going to build an s-10 this winter and trailer it down to washington so he go out wheelin with us after he saw a few of our videos and pics.:driving:

Originally from Quebec but I have been posted to Moose Jaw Saskatchewan for 2 years now. There seem to be a small wheeling club around here but not much. Saskatchewan is part of the prairies so the elevations/hills/trails are not as common as in Quebec.

Yeah, there is practically no options on our 4Runner models up here. They come equipped and you can add some accessories like cargo net and remote start but that's pretty much it.

Awesome. I'm a USAF pilot. My other "vehicle" is an F-35A.

My wife and I just bought a new white 2015 SR5. We were seriously considering the Trail but they do not come with Third-Row seats and that's what we needed.

Originally from Quebec but I have been posted to Moose Jaw Saskatchewan for 2 years now. There seem to be a small wheeling club around here but not much. Saskatchewan is part of the prairies so the elevations/hills/trails are not as common as in Quebec.

My wife said that the main Branch for Canada is in Saskatoon. Sorry but i guarantee i spelled that wrong. That is where the national president for Canada lives

Hey, glad to see you took it off pavement already! I just picked up my 2015 Trail Edition (also in white) in the next province over. There's a chance our 4Runners were built right next to each other. Not many Trail Editions in Canada.
