New 4Runner Ltd now residing at our house

Took a week of going back and forth with the dealer before purchasing it, but finally came to an agreement and signed the papers.

Amazing to see how far the 4Runners have come when I compare it to our 1993.

So far, only add-on has been husky floor liners - which fit really well, very happy with them.

Not sure what is next - have to see what the boss, I mean wife, will let me get away with since this is her daily driver.

Thanks - it's actually a black leather interior; no 3rd row; yes on the Nav. We ended up giving close to Invoice for the 4Runner - which was pretty good considering we were trading in a 2003 Tahoe LT w/89000 miles. still owed 10k on it, KBB trade-in for low was somewhere around 9 - at the end of the day, dealer gave us 13k for the trade to get the deal done.

And...yes I understand the trade number is just an artificial number the dealer uses to make you feel good about the deal - only number that counts is the bottom line number - and that was 38,500 for us.

great color. you know, I haven't even seen a Shoreline Blue in my area (NY/NJ) so I wonder if Toyota releases only certain colors to certain regions. I ended up with the Blizzard Pearl.
It also seems that all the limiteds in my area are 4 x 4. I've seen the brochure but I haven't seen a Limited that wasn't a 4 x 4 so i wonder if they even exist.

Because I often find the need to avoid work, I find myself wandering on the net... on eBay there are a few 2010 LTDs that are 4X2. And some w/ no nav.

Yep - 4x4

It was actually a toss up between the Blue or the Pearl - we wanted a dark interior and the Pearl had Tan, so went with the Blue

I stand corrected. Does that mean it has the little gearshift to switch into 4WD instead of the round knob that I have? Does it mean that you don't always have to use 4 WD?

There is no knob, because there is no option to switch into 4x4. That's what 4x2 means.

thanks for the info. I guess I was confused because I bought my 4runner after months of visiting dealers and I never saw a Limited in my region that said 4 x 2.
