After about eight months of research and alot of time on this site! I decided that a 4Runner is the perfect match for my needs (reliable, four wheel drive, ability to tow, good gas mileage, etc.). I bought a 1997 SR5 about 4 months ago with 103k; I am taking it to a mechanic/friend later this week to do a few things that I don't know if the previous owner ever did.
Here is the list: change trans fluid, flush coolant, check/change plugs, new fuel filter, clean MAF sensor, and check PCV valve. I am also having a 2.5 inch leveling kit put on! Can anyone think of anything else to check/change or have any advice?
Based on what I have read in this forum I am going to wait until 120k to do the T-belt and water pump.
I will post some pictures of my new Toy after the leveling kit is put on.
