She has no chance of getting $190M for a start (probably a settlement ploy) and even she does get a sizeable settlement it will be a drop in the ocean for Toyota and its insurers.

That stuff never hits consumer prices... maintaining market share is far more important to car companies. Look at GM... virtually bankrupt but still cutting prices!

Took the words right out of my mouth. It's a small drop in the bucket for Toyota. The steering recall on trucks probably cost them more. But hey, if my truck is 3x's more, I might cash out.

This is the perfect example of why you should never attempt to "sh*t where you eat." There are way too many laws and people ready to sue than to risk even trying to date someone in your office, becuase you never know when someone is going to turn an innocent comment or flirty gesture into a lawsuit. I am not saying this is the case here, but you never know. Next time you are at a bar trying to pick up a nice looking female (or a not so nice one.....depends on how close it is to closing time :beer: ) think about the consequences of what you might say......

who knows... She might have even made the advances and he tossed them aside... This will settle out of court for much less than the asking just to shut her up and prevent any more bad PR.
