New 4runner time

Hey yall

I am going back to the 4runner because its time to and my little 2010 rav4 isnt holding up so great anymore. I use to own a 3rd gen toyota 4runner 2000 sport edition, than traded for the rav4 for better gas mileage.
Now the 5th gen runners get about what I get on my rav4.

I do a lot of hiking and off roading and forest driving because of where I live.
I live in northern Idaho. We get a lot of snow during the winters, and i do some mudding as well.

So here is are my questions for you:

1. What is the difference between the 2014-2016 4runner Trail Edition and Trail Premium and the TRD pro?

2. Why did you pick that model, Trail edition/Premium or the TRD pro?

3. Are the shocks and struts different from the TRD pro and the Trail edition/premium?

I will think of more later!
Thought Id ask you guys for advice!

Trail Premium is a Trail Edition with sunroof, softex seats, upgraded stereo (optional on TE), and turn signals/puddle lights on mirrors. I think that's about it.

TRD Pro is a Trail Edition with a small front lift with Bilsteins and lots of TRD parts and badging.

Just bought my 2016 LTD 3 weeks ago. If it weren't for my 3 kids and wife, I would of bought the TRD PRO in quicksand instead. I needed the 3rd row and full time awd for the lady in the winter.

TRD Pro comes with the upgraded stereo (not a real upgrade but its same as TEP), and the softex seats. The sunroof and KDSS are the only things not on the Pro.

I would go with a TEP and do an OME/ICON suspension upgrade. Depending on your use, the Pro suspension is good for daily use...But if you plan on adding steel bumpers and other weight adding mods, then go with the TEP and get a new suspension.
