Hey everyone.
Just picked up a 2016 SR5 Premium 4wd for my wife. 13k miles on the clock.
I've owned an 88 and 95 in the past and have a Tacoma now, but know nothing about the new 4runners.
What are the need to knows: Ex. 3.0 4runners have head gasket issues. 05 Tacoma 4.0 also have head gasket issues, anything I need to know or issues with this year model or gen so far?etc...
I've already order a uni filter for it as it's got the same secondary air pump set up the Tacoma's have and they had some issues with the filter so I'm just going to change that just for peace of mind.
Plans are to lift it like her last xterra so maybe a 2-2.5 inch lift on 285 70 17's. So probably 5100's and either 884 or 883 springs. Not sure what to do for the rear.
Any suggestions on must do mods?

My old 88, sas, 4.88 gears, 35's, locked f&r. Bought new in 88 by my dad and I got it when I was 16 in 2001 and started to build it.
