New 4th Gen owner from NKY!

Hi everybody,

My wife and I are proud owners of a 2006 black v6 sr5 4wd with 118k miles on it. We were looking for a SUV and found this one at a small lot for a really good price. Someone we know retired from the toyota plant her in Georgetown, ky and they own a 2004 Sport with 250k on it with no problems. After talking with them and test driving the crap out of it we felt comfortable buying something with this many miles on it. We already own a 2010 Camry so we love toyota and are happy to be a toyota family now. I have done the spark plugs, oil change, air filter change, cabin air filter change, and am getting a coolant flush and new battery done in the next month. Is there anything else that anybody can suggest that I get done?

Welcome aboard! What about the timing belt?

I could be wrong but I believe the v6 has a timing chain not a timing belt

Flushing the brake and cooling systems wouldn't be a bad idea if it hasn't been done in the last year or two.

I would grease the rear drive shaft, if you have a 4wd model you will have to grease the front drive shaft also.

This is very easy to do, you can purchase a grease gun for about $40 and do it yourself.
