New 4th Gen, sorta

So I guess I'm not new but pretty much yes I am. I've had an account here going on 3 years now but only have 1 post! I usually find my answers by searching so haven't made any responses.

Anyhow, I picked up little run around car that gets way better 15mpg average so I will be able to hopefully make some mods to the 4Runner now that it won't be the daily driver. I figured I best get reacquainted with this site then.

Still just have a stock 03 V8 Sport 4x4. Running great, just about to roll over 100k miles. Only things I have added is a heated seat kit to the driver's seat and now installing brake controller for car trailer.

I'm hoping over the winter to get the rims fixed up/replaced since they are corroding very badly.

So hopefully I will actually contribute more this time around.

What mods are you thinking? Are you thinking about a lift or just minor cosmetic mods?

Well I have been trying to keep this vehicle looking nice, so some cosmetic mods (removing pin stripe, rims, maybe black out the silver plastic).

I have been weary of doing any lifts yet, but I have noticed some fluid on the LF shock, hopefully the X-REAS system is not starting to go. If it is, and from what I have heard you cannot fix it once it is disassembled (truth?), I think then maybe an OME lift may be in the future. My buddy does a lot of wheeling in his Jeep and would love the company on the trails though I'm not sure I'm ready to try and keep up with his rig. If the system isn't going then I may actually still look at mild 2/1" lift to level it out.
