Looks like it should be, however, we have not tested with existing ladders. We may make a ladder in the future.

The roof of the 4Runner dives down at the front towards the windshield so the middle/rear of the rack is 3.5" above the roof, the front is about 5".

Looks damn nice, but regarding the lower weight, perhaps the cross bars aren't as sturdy? The LFD Off Road cross bars at least look more sturdy, not sure if they are or not.

36lbs is correct including the steel mounting brackets, plus or minus the hardware and lightbar brackets if you get them. Maybe their weight is incorrect?

The only weight number Toyota seems to give are for the stock rack crossbars (not side rails) which are only rated to 132lbs, our rack will support a lot more than that, but it is up to your discretion. I ran a Freespirit rooftop tent, myself, and sleeping gear on our crossbars without any issues.

I have not yet driven on the highway but up to about 55 mph there doesn't seem to be much added wind noise.

Prinsu's side rails are 1/4 inch where Victory's are 3/16th. I don't think that small of a different would make that much of a weight difference.

I do not have one installed on the 4Runner yet, but it will be about the same as the Tacoma Rack.

Great timing, I was about to place on order for a different rack, but I think I like this better. These photos look great, but the edge trim in the install video looks sloppy not going all the way across. Is it required in the rear- does the rear fairing make contact with the body? Have you tested road noise without it in the front?
