New 6-channel amp replacing JBL 10 speaker package?

I'm putting a whole new system into my '04 4Runner Limited w/ JBL 10 speaker package. I'm replacing all the factory speakers and putting in a new amp.

Has anyone installed a 6-channel amp to replace this factory setup? The amp would power the fronts, rears, sub & center. I'm looking at the Hifonics Zeus ZX 5.1 amp. If anyone has done this, what kind of speaker did you get to replace the center channel?

You would have to go through the factory amp first. You cannot remove the amp and keep the head unit. The volume controlis in he amp and works through the data wires. There are shops that can do this for you but it can be tricky going from the high side of your amp into another. I just noticed your in Boston. Call Derek or Jim at Sound in Motion in Allston. Thanks for the reply supraCP, I forgot to mention that I'm replacing the factory HU with the Kenwood DDX7015, so basically everything is being newly wired.

I was just curious if anyone had used a 6-channel amp as part of their new system in a 4th gen runner.
