I cannot find a rear bumper plastic cover. The bumper and the sides are still intact, just the plastic is missing. Does anyone know where to get one? Next is the shift lock override button is broken, so you have to manually depress it and the button on the shifter to get out of park. Meaning you have to press two different buttons simultaneously, the override one with a knife b/c its broken and the one on the top of the shifter, to move from Park to Drive/Reverse. Does anyone know how to fix that?

The button is broken and has to be pressed in with a key or something similar with one hand while the other hand is moving the shifter from park. Not very fun. Thats why I was looking for a fix.

there is a 95 in a small wrecking yard i found near here , ill check it for the bumper plastic you need tomarrow. our t4r is also a 95 and this other truck is identical to ours even the color and alloys

has an aussie style thick push bar on it im gonna go get (100 bucks) so ill check the bumper for you then and see what they want for them. this is in north florida 32071

he sold me the fuel door for 10 bucks so prices are not bad imho. he laso has 3 3.4 and 5 3.0 im thinking new used 3.4 and sidestep this problematic 3.0 if it gets much worse. me being sight challenged makes repairs tough so im thinking 3.4 or vortech

but again ill check the bumper trim and post back for you.

I'm in the Myrtle Beach area of South Carolina. Seems like the only place to find the rear bumper plastic is from some fellow RUNNERS.

you're welcome , keep us posted as to progress with you truck. im way new here too but cannot stay away because i love toyotas and learn from these forum vets with the super trucks and daily riders both

and i really do think toyota t4r and truck owners especially older models like we have are the most supportive bunch going.

most all of the old trucks you wave at on the highway will surely wave back :driving:
same here on forum. most cant get enough toyota truck intel

good luck sc4runner13

ps: get camera and post pics :bigok:

The button should be in front of the shifter. It's pretty small, about the size of a dime. If I remember when I'm back home on the weekend I can take a picture of it for you. It's basically a linkage that lets you override the mechanism in the actual shifter. You are talking about an auto trans correct?

Yeah thats the button Im talking about. I have to physically depress that broken button in front the shifter with a knife in one hand and push the button on top of the actual shifter to move from park. Are following me now. It just seems like a little much to get your truck in gear.

OH...so your linkages underneath there are that messed up that both of them are like that. Well then. My only parted out auto is already gone, I won't be getting to my other till spring probably.
