Excited to join this great community.

Just picked up a fairly nice 98 4Runner with 173k for what I think was a pretty good price. It has a little bit of rust, but nothing to major

Should I remove the drivers side flair on the bumper? Or find a new piece for the passengers side?

Thanks, this is what happens when Nissan gives you more than you paid for a Pathfinder. While I loved my pathfinder, this is definitely an upgrade. To bad I couldnt switch out my tires in time...

The plan is a mellow build. Small lift, tires, lights, bumper and winch, and maybe drawers in the back. I need it to be practical for daily driving in the city, but I bike, fish, hunt, and haul a bunch of gear for work, and need to be able to get to the mountains and my family in snow...

Well, after a winter and lots of salt, the frame snapped when I hit a pot hole, and was fully rusted from the inside out. Just upgraded to a 2000 limited, minus the elocker that my old one had, but with 40k less miles.

Time to start over

Damn! That's too bad. Rust treatment on the new one. At least you got a better truck? Just throw in an Aussie locker!
