New air intake for 4th gens!

I found this as I was looking for an air intake and its cheaper than a K&N. the company is called Weapon R and I kinda heard of them from Super Street and some other magazines for tuners and seemed their kinda the king of the hill. but I didn't know they made stuff for trucks, what got my attention again was the price. $270 and some retailers have it for $230. I thought some of the guys here might wanted to see another option plus who knows if it performs better or not. might need some tuning to get the most out of any air intake but I might try this if I don't get and AFE/TRD or volant one for a tacoma. whata think? Yea, I'm curious about that JET Mass Air Flow Sensor too....first time I've heard of it...but not JET. I usually associate JET with SH*T...but if it a legit product that actually works, then I may look in to it.

I would go with URD on MAF sensor for the 1GRFE. Underdog Racing Development my only hic up is that I'm gonna use a APR X-1 in my truck in the near future for a college project. guys on the taco forums love it. And its tunable as well so any mods like headers or a intake will work.

i'd stay away from weapon R. in the import world they rank right down there with APC and all the other knock-off chinese crap. stick with K&N or TRD. at least they actually put money into R&D, and not just sell something because it fits.

Ahh... yes URD...good call. Now THAT is a legit place. I'm still hoping they release a URD S/C for our V6 4.0s...they announced working on one awhile ago, but no production stuff yet. Guess it can take a few years huh?

i think the jet maf works fine on my v8. i use to use a unichip to regain some low end after the exhaust & cai install, which worked but had problems with other stuff like alarms, remote start, etc. so i took it off & modded the cai & installed the jet, now its much better than before & i got my low end back. thats what my butt dino says anyway. it would be nice to change the tuning atwill, but i didnt want to slice in & only paid 125 for the jet. i wouldnt doubt the urd is the better option tho.
