Hi everybody I just purchased a 95 and the rear abs light is on, now inorder for it to pass inspection that light has to be off, what could be causing this?

What wire do I cut lol?

Thanks guys

well im a very cheap person and if it was me id take de dash apart and take out that abs light lol!! but im guessing they probably run around 100-200+ dollars. and probably pretty darn fun to install since that sensor is probably seased up, and btw they only got sensors on the rear wheels if i am not mistaken

I have the same light on, it passed smog with that light on the dash board. Anyhow i am thinking about taking the dash apart and getting rid of the light myself

yeah I got one form a 97 the shop said it would work, time to find a new shop seeing that the 95 is in the rear diff and the 97 is in the transfer case,

Sorry I missed you when you posted first. The sensor is in the rear diff .Before you buy a new sensor check the wiring. The plugs are near the sensor just follow the wire.

The ABS light on my 94 was always on too. I inspected the wires and found that one of the wires had become disconnected at the connector. As a temporary fix I soldered the wire back into place. I've gone 8 months with no light. Unfortunately all good things must come to the end the light just started displaying again. I'm gonna bite the bullet and get the ABS Speed sensor. FYI, this is the sensor located in the rear differential. Cost for the part is about $190. Labor is free since I'll be doing the work.
