have to sell our t4r 3rd gen to get a Sequoia. any takers? ask away i will answer as soon as i can.

i wonder if i can put a 3in lift on a Sequoia.

we bought a 04 Sequoia and we find out this morning if we have to trade in our T4R.

Good luck with the Sequoia. They do have some aftermarket support, though not nearly as much as the 4Runner. There is a guy on ih8mud that has a pretty sweet one built up. If you have a big family, they would be an awesome rig. Personally, I don't plan to have more than 3 kids, so after the 4Runner, it's a 100-series LC for me.

To me the Sequoia looks like a big 3rd gen 4runner. Not that that is bad b/c I like the 3rd gen look and i'm just now coming around to the looks of the 4th gen 4runner.

we did not buy it after all they had it up on the net for 17,999 and reniged on that price and on top of that they would only give us $1,200 for our t4r.

Wow, $1,200 for the 4Runner and that is after they jacked the price up on the car. I tell you what, since your my good friend, I will give you $1,500 for it.

That is pretty bad, them doing that to you. Last time my parents bought a car, the first dealer jacked up the price of the car and offered $250 for their old car that had 130,000 miles on it. I guess they figure, people will just go for it.

Sell your 4Runner privately. You should be able to get $4-5k for it, depending on your current market there. Then, also buy from a private seller.

Right and then get a dealer that can sell you a car and not go up in price.

The problem with selling your own car, is you usually have to buy a new car first and keep your old car on insurance and try to sell it. Dealing with people buying can be a hassle. I have done this way for years, you do have to go down in price a little, since you are not a dealer. Still, it will a lot higher than $1,200. I guess the dealers figures your are not going to do that, with all that hassle.

Yup...Thatll happen. They give you as close to $0 as possible. They make big gains on their used cars. But what can you do? Except drive the 4runner into the ground (like everyone else)
