New bajarack ladder pics

Last night I rec'd an email from our friends at Bajarack. THIS version looks much hotter, and their price point is going to be slightly better at $150 freight included. I have put my order in and will be happy to share pics once it is delivered. These guys are following the forum posts and said they've appreciated all the feedback so keep it comin.

How does it attach? It looks like it attaches to the rack...whish is really stupid, cinsodering you'd have to remove the ladder to open the hatch...

You can't assume too much with night time cell phone examples, it would be hard to believe they would do something like that. I'll be able to tell you for sure next week but from what I've researched Gobi's option is going to be worth the extra 50 bones, their ladder mounting method is patented as well.

if its anything like gobi's it attaches to the top and bottom of the hatch via some special brackets that come with it, so your not hindered by the rack of opening your hatch

Here is the reply I just got from Bajarack:
"We really like the way it looks, the owner of the vehicle is very happy with the design.
The ladder is very easy to install, it has two padded hooks on top that attached to the door (not the rack) and on the bottom there’s 2 mating plates with 2 bolts to adjust the tension on the ladder there is no other mechanism out there that makes such strong integration with no drilling.
In regards to the time frame we are going to do several tests this coming week and if everything looks copasetic we can ship in two weeks."

Cant wait to see your 2 Gobi ladders. 2000R the guys at Baja are great about customer follow up and cant wait for another update. I cant use it because of my swing away.

I think Miller ended up posting in another thread about his Gobi ladder...

Havent heard or seen anything else on the baja ladder

Just recieved an update from BajaRack..they are offering Ladder now for 3rd generation. Asking $250 and they can ship in 4 weeks. Going to order mine soon.

I bought it purely for aesthetic purposes. It looks sweet but it's also functional. Pretty sturdy with a 200lb man on there but it tends to slide a little bit, nothing big though. I recommend it. Only thing is- it's a pain in the ass to mount up :ybrick: the top brackets are held on by very very tiny little bolts (don't go through body, just hold it on the hatch from the inside) and the bottom is hard to get straight. I ended up denting the top of my hatch when installing cause I didn't line it up right and opened the hatch which pushed it in. Luckily it's not visible unless your on the roof or looking down on the roof. Have patience with install if you get one

I like the Gobi design better, unless Barajack also makes a straight ladder? I don't care for that crooked looking ladder...

I like my crooked ladder better. I debated between the 2 and came across my ladder for a good deal so went with it. I was iffy about the bend at 1st but it's a little wider of a ladder, is more out of place. Just my 2cents but I'm biased

I'm interested in the bent ladder to make it easier to have a tire mount on my rear bumper. Did these ever go up for sale? I just checked their website and didn't find anything...
