New car time, and old car problem

Well its that time again, I already have a 4runner but my wife needs a new car. I think she is going to get a Rav4, so anyone else have one, do you like it, any problems? On the car we are replacing (a 97 CRV) I have been noticing that when I hit on the breaks the RPMs go up. It idles at about 1500 RPMs and I can get it up to 2000 RPMs if I smash it down to the floor and release it a few times, I am not sure if this is just normal or if it is a break problem.

My wife has a 97 CRV that we purchased new. It now has 167,000 miles on it and it runs like brand new. We've never experienced anything like you described.

We'll keep ours for a couple more years, but I do want my wife to look at the RAV when the time comes. It was too small previously, but the new RAV looks like it would be perfect.

We've been looking at them too. My wife wants a sport 4wd , auto with the 4cyl. We drove one exactly like it and I was really impressed with it.

My wife traded her 04' CRV in for an 06' RAV4 and loves it. I'm not too crazy about the 4cyl but it is a nice little car. I traded my 04' Accord in for my 06' T4R 6cyl Sport on the same day and she likes driving mine more mainly because of the 6cyl and wishes she would have got the 6 instead of the 4 in the RAV4.

we were orig. looking at the v6 , but the 4cyl. was damn impressive, and she would like the better milage.
