I know my old D865 motherboard (9-10 yrs), with a Radeon 850 AGP and down to 1 GB MB (lost half my slots a while back). Do Video cards die out slowly?? After a few hours, I lose 'words'. Think of Task Mgr and along the top row, I lose File, Options, View, etc. On the desktop, some icons are missing, some labels are black or missing. Doubt this is a heat problem. Thinking lack of Memory or Video problem. If you think it is MB related, will get more MB. Resitted the video card. reboot clears everything up. XP Pro. ideas???

I had 1.5 GB, went to 3 GB but noticed it was not running at DDR400. This is Dual channel 800 bus mobo. So I took the new MB out and put in my old ones, blues screens!!! Can not populate the slots anymore. So now it is only 1 GB 2x512 Mushkin. Want to put in 2 x 1 GB if it will continue to live a little longer. Just started a seasonal job, that may happen. and put off the bull bar for while.
